News Centers Pakistan
The Oil Tanker Contractors Association has issued a strong warning to Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs), threatening a nationwide strike if their demands are not met. The association stated that if the authorities fail to address their concerns, they will halt fuel supply and launch countrywide protests.
Association leaders alleged that the newly introduced automation system is the root cause of all problems, enabling corruption, favoritism, and irregularities.
Leader Abidullah Afridi accused the OMCs of unfair practices under the guise of “commercial loading,” claiming that the automation system benefits a select few while contractors are already burdened by advance tax deductions.
The association appealed to the Prime Minister and President of Pakistan to take immediate notice of the alleged injustices by oil companies and implement corrective measures.
Leaders warned that if demands are ignored, oil tankers across the country will suspend operations, potentially disrupting the national fuel supply chain.
